Pump Mate — Hydraulics

Effective date: 2 October 2026

Pump Mate is a hydraulic engineering tool developed by Mario Cerda (El Pipero). It works offline for calculations, does not ask for your name, email, phone number or precise location, and shows no advertising.

Accounts and identifiers

Data kept on your device

Projects, calculation inputs and results, Pump Measurement records, and preferences are stored in the app's local device storage. Pump Mate does not sync those records to an account or upload them as part of calculation or save operations. If you export or share a report, the operating-system share action sends the file to the destination you choose.

Third-party services

Some features use third-party services. Their collection and processing are separate from local calculation and save operations.

ServicePurpose and data
Firebase Authentication and protected pump-curve serviceA pseudonymous Firebase identifier and authentication token authorize protected catalogue requests. The request returns curve data; it does not include project or calculation records.
Firebase Analytics (Google)Disabled until you opt in through the in-app usage-data setting. When enabled, it records product and screen interactions with bounded app context, an app-instance identifier, and device and app-version information; Google may derive an approximate (city-level) location from the network address. Analytics events are not linked to the Firebase Authentication identifier. On Android, Pump Mate versions up to 1.4.0 also allow Firebase to collect the device's advertising ID once you opt in; Pump Mate does not use it for advertising. From version 1.4.1, advertising-ID collection is disabled. You can change your choice at any time in Pump Mate Settings.
SentryWhen a release build has a Sentry DSN configured, Pump Mate sends content-redacted error diagnostics independently of Analytics consent. Events are limited to a bounded error category, event and release metadata, and normalized app-bundle source coordinates. Raw exception messages, user content, screenshots, view hierarchies, breadcrumbs, and performance transactions are omitted.
App updates (Expo)When the app starts, it checks Expo's update service for a compatible over-the-air update. The request includes the platform, app and runtime version, and a random installation identifier used to deliver updates. It contains no projects, calculations or personal details.
Version informationThe app downloads a small version-status file to tell you whether a newer store version is available. This request sends no identifiers beyond what any network request reveals.
RevenueCat and Apple App Store / Google PlayHandle Pump Mate Pro purchase and restore flows. RevenueCat uses the pseudonymous app-user identifier to associate entitlement state; store payment processing is handled by the relevant platform.

No tracking or advertising

Pump Mate does not show ads, does not sell data, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. On iOS it does not request or access the advertising identifier (IDFA).

Children's privacy

Pump Mate is a professional engineering tool for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
